Bringing it down to the wire on this one!!
EVEN CHANGED THE FLIGHT
With 6 full days of hunting, our goal was to chase turkeys every day. Just didn't want it to be over with in the first few days...well, the turkeys had another thing coming for us. We had to GRIND each day and if it wasn't one thing...it was ANOTHER. Finally sealed the deal on this beautiful gobbler, he put on an absolute show for us and I couldn't have drawn it up any better!!
Huge thanks to my close friends at Kansas Plains for having me out and just having an all out great time.

I know there's times where birds fly off the roost and land in the decoys but how about hopping off of a 50 foot cliff? INSANE. Not what we were expecting but on the first evening, WE will take it!! Got the gang back together for the opener in North Carolina. Did some scouting and located a few different birds, hoping we could have a back up plan if need be for the strut masters competition. For THREE YEARS IN A ROW, Evan has made the trip down to South Carolina and we have managed to get on a bird. Usually right after daylight, this year was a little different. Josh wasn't able to get Jase out to the field during youth season but when the work finally eased up and he got some time off, the both were in hot pursuit!! Didn’t win that’s for sure!! Only had a few inches of beard left haha but the bird in the back actually flew off with the rest of the flock once he got over the ridge. Scared him to death haha

I came to watch this video and was like oh good the guys hunting early season just outside of town but was surprised when I saw late season and holy shit what a hunt!

Great footage. To bad you had to use a decoy to cheat the turkeys. No decoys in real turkey hunting. They aren't ducks.
Then you would’ve noticed that there wasn’t decoys used when the 2nd and 3rd bird died… we just wanted to put on a show for the youngsters first turkey! To each their own brother 👊🏻 the good lord made us all different!
